Dickens Ball to support Local Intervention Program "A Step Ahead"

A Holiday Dickens Dinner and Costume Ball will be held from on November 21 after Dickens festivities end. The Pierce County Community Big Band will play. They are comprised of all different people in all different walks of life. It has jr. high, high school and college students, career working and retired adults. "People in this band are dedicated and have made it a success." The band plays all types of big band swing and beyond throughout the State of Washington. A dessert auction will benefi t our charity, A Step Ahead, Comedy Rocket will provide entertainment and a wild and unusual "Victorian Is In" Dickens hair fashion show by Angelo Mendi will cap off the evening. Tickets must be purchased in advance by Nov. 16. and are available at King's Books or call (253) 272-6622. Adults are $ 40, Children $ 10. A table of 8 with special prize boxes for each guest valued at $ 30 can be purchased for $ 400. Reserve your tickets now-limited seating.

Arrest A Guest at Oliver's Place
Purchase
an arrest warrant at Oliver's Place for your favorite family member or
friend. The Magistrate will issue a summons for the bobbie to arrest
your guest. The bobbie will escort the guest to appear before the
court. Who knows what they will have to do to get out!

AM. Only 100 people. First-come first-serve. Free admission.
Closing Festival Ceremony
Come
to Queen's Stage at 5:00 PM for the Closing Ceremony. The award winning
Stadium Jazz Band will perform. Queen Victoria and winners of the
Dickens costume contest will be presented. Queen Victoria's
supercalifragilistic ballgown, a creation by Tacoma artist Lynn De Nino
and friends and festival participants will be presented. A ceremony for
our charity, A Step Ahead, will be presented. After the Dickens
Festival Closing Ceremony, festival goers can attend the ball or enjoy
dinner, drinks and other festivities at The Hub, Doyle's Public House,
The Harvester, Hob Nob and other Stadium area restaurants.
